How do you win in the next Twister Cup?

I predicted FEAST's lose in a past article, and unfortunately it comes true. But my biggest surprise is that other teams are also not stronger than I expected. Most games are like random battle, and many loose peeks decide the victory or defeat.

I don't mean that I want to disrespect each servers' representatives. They have good skills and think fast. But even if so, there is a big difference of ability between RA1D and other teams.

I definitely sure that this state doesn't change in the next Twitser. Asia server will not be able to win. And guys, are you funny?  At least I don't want to see WG is saying "Hello, commanders! Asia server is still bad, and we decide to exclude them from tournaments!"...  I want to share why I think RA1D get 1st. For the next Twister Cup.

1. Lap behind of Meta

I think this is a striking difference.

MAUS is surely powerful defensive tanks, but it is hard to use. MAUS has two main roles: bait or front-line tank. In the past patches, we used hard heavies, and damage race progress was so slow that we couldn't ignore MAUS. It could play its role.

IS-4 was originally adapted instead of IS-7. The main reasons for this are that IS-4 is advantageous to MAUS, better DPM (damage per minutes) than IS-7, and its armor was buffed.

But now more teams use WZ-113 or fast tanks instead of MAUS, IS-4 or other slow tanks. Using fast tanks, holding an important position and siege is new blitz team battle Meta. If you use MAUS and IS-4, you must answer the question: "Why have you purposely used them?"

2. Team tacitics

The number of maps is increasing. It means teams need more time and effort to make tactics for each maps. For example, some teams in the Asia server made lazy tactics in the preliminary round. But two teams have strong, simple policy regardless of maps.

C4, the previous finalist has consistent policy: crash enemy's main-force units before enemy does that. Russian players don't afraid of advance. They're good at "sorround and annihilation". But I think they mistake the tank choice. They tend to like hard heavies, and sometimes they can't deal enough damage to finish an enemy off in the endgame.

RA1D has various kinds of tacitcs, but basically tactic is "holding good positions". They rarely rush, or top first. But from middle to end stage of the game, they push a flag or an important point with a minimum effort (more or less 3 tanks). The enemy is forced to attack the other side, but 4 tanks or more are waiting. I think this policy matches a fast-tank-Meta.

How do you win in the next Twister Cup?

So why did FEAST faced the same fate as EHR2? In my opinion, I think it's because there is no time to modify their Meta. My ex-clanmate aomushi (@aomushi_6464) participated in Twister Cup and he told that: "Before the tournament, we have some practice games with other teams. And we lost most of games. I roughly understand the difference of power between them and us before tournament."

Of course, Asia server is not a top region in blitz, it is hard to make the latest Meta by ourselves. But we need to take care of other regions' meta from YouTube, discord and other media, and modify them at least the day before the Final.
